Fake News and the POWER thereof
This article is written for all readers and writers around the globe in an attempt to address the power and the effects of fake news, propaganda, and misplaced information from around the world. I’m sure that we all agree that the information that we read and the environment that we live in affects our lives, both in the present and the future, and guides the way we live our lives. In short, information governs our life; we adapt and make adjustments according to the information that we absorb.
Let’s take a different look at fake news; it also gives us a chance to be creative. Is it possible to take a relatively new genre that was meant to misinform and turn it into a constructive tool that will cause people to engage in deep, meaningful thought?
Leading nations from around the world gathered for an emergency summit to vote on which country will assume a leadership role as the United States continues to march towards a civil war. The council president stated that everyone must agree on who will take the United States’ place as leader of the free world. President Vladimir Putin immediately stood up to address the council and assured them that there was no need for a vote. Putin continued to speak about his plans for the planet and then thanked President Trump for delivering his promise. When President Trump was questioned on President Putin’s comments during a White House press conference, he angrily said that it was fake news and that the Constitution states that he doesn’t have to keep any promises made over four years ago.
Joel Osteen surprised millions of people when he led the morning prayer. Osteen asked God to grant clarity, opportunity, ambition, and godspeed to everyone under the sound of his voice and those around the world. Countless members that attended the morning prayer via Facebook Live posted that they immediately felt clarity, received job offers and were eager to receive the blessings of the Lord. Ivanka Bleavage, a longtime member of the Lakewood megachurch who was interviewed by the Associated Press, said she knew that God was going to expedite his blessing. When asked how she knew that God was going to move expeditiously, she replied that she’s been following Joel’s ministry since 2001, and he has never failed to mention being in alignment with God and His favor and abundance.
Operation Occupy the Vatican is underway as thousands of Satanists and devil worshippers from around the world fill Vatican City to demand that the supreme pontiff and all religious leaders from around the world stop praying for world peace because it’s not working. The Press Secretary of the United Organization of Worshippers of Darkness later said in a press release that this was long overdue; the event was a flying success built on honesty, sincerity, acceptance, compassion, and a night of tight indulgence.
Chinese President Xi Jinping released a statement that if President Trump lifts the sanctions on Chinese goods, he will send three cargo ships of ammunition to the United States as a peace offering. Trump’s press secretary told reporters that President Trump was seriously considering lifting sanctions to show his support for the Second Amendment. On the Galaxy News morning edition, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was questioned about whether the president would consider lifting sanctions on China. McConnell said that he would stand behind any decision the president makes.
The prayers of the Mexican people could be heard around the world, while the Mexican president desperately searched for the finances to build the Great Wall of Mexico. President Obrador repeatedly stated that his country is in jeopardy of being overrun by caravans of Americans. He also spoke about the urgency of starting the construction of the wall before the American Civil War 2020 begins. Later that day, a video of Obrador singing his rendition of Ave Maria went viral on every social media platform. ZZT news reported that Myspace released a statement that all of their servers went down within the first hour of the now-famous Ob-Ave-Maria video.
